Tip of the Day: File your taxes, NOW!

Not only could you possibly be eligible for tax returns (free money), but you wont get hounded by the federal/state government. Also filing taxes yourself can save you anywhere from 200-500 USD which is an average price CPA may charge. Depending on the amount you make you will need to fill out one or more of these forms:

1. Form 4868

2. Form 1040

3. Form 1040EZ

4. Form W-4

5. Publication 2043

I needed the 1040EZ and a NJ state tax form. I spent a total of 15 minutes filling out both forms and another 10 minutes double checking my calculations. Of course people with dependents, houses, and more income will need to spend more time filling out the forms.
I have filed my taxes (duh) and am due an estimated of XXX.XX in return, which makes Tim a happy graduating senior. And this all took only about 25 minutes, give or take a few for distractions. Silly Quake Live.
